The AFCB is represented at many fairs in France where its members are able to help visitors identify their bayonets and show interesting examples. Twice a year a meeting between members is organised together with a private arms fair and an association dinner.

The AFCB Journal is a link between its members. Published quarterly, it features articles written by its members covering all types of bayonets dating from all eras.

The AFCB forum

Since June 2010 a forum dedicated to bayonet collecting has been online. Administered by the members of the Bureau it is presented in two sections, one with limited access for visitors and one for members of the Association.

Since July 2008 the AFCB has been co-operating with the magazine “la Gazette des Armes” by publishing bayonet reference sheets covering the technical and historical side of bayonet models.


The Gazette published during summer 2013 will present the very rare English ELCHO bayonet which is related to the colonisation of the Indies…
